CROWLE Young Farmers raised more than £430 for Acorns Children's Hospice - thanks to two trailers full of muck and a lot of hard work.
Club members spent a profitable - but cold - night preparing Crowle and Tibberton residents for the event.
Flyers posted through villagers' doors paved the way for the YFC's latest "muckathon".
Twelve club members help load the two trailers with muck to be sold around the villages.
Phil Boaz, Olly Cook, Andrew Parkes, Alice Groves and Julia Tarver mucked in around Crowle, while Tom Hill, Lou Saunders, John Wilkinson and Nick Brain headed to Tibberton.
The muck - sold for £2 per barrow or £1 per bag - was supplied by James Ford.
Team best at selling
A TEAM of Bromsgrove young farmers proved they were the best at promoting themselves in a new YFC competition.
Five county YFCs took part in the event - entitled Club Promotion - at the end of March.
Teams of four, from Bromsgrove, Cutnall Green, Wythall, Crowle and Inkberrow, did battle in the competition's four elements.
Publicity
Members were judged on the quality of a 15-minute presentation, a portfolio of Press cuttings and publicity material, a display board promoting their club and were interviewed by a panel of judges.

Boogie night
MORE than 180 young farmers descended on Bewdley's Ramada Hotel and Resort for their annual dinner dance.
Following the three-course meal and a speech from county chairman Demelza Audis, the hardy members danced the night away.
