WORKMEN were busy this week removing the seats from the ground floor of the Palace Theatre, which is expected to be turned into a roller-skating rink.
Mr AJ Wilkinson, the Birmingham man who is planning the rink, has not yet come to an agreement with Mr JE Wilkinson, the owner of the Palace.
It is not known whether the theatre will be sold or leased.
It was expected that Mr JE Wilkinson would visit Redditch yesterday.
The seats have all been removed from downstairs and are lying in rows waiting to be removed.
Decorators are waiting to move into the theatre, which local theatre-goers tried to save for the town, and an architect has also paid a visit.
