NEIL Lyman admits that the nerves will be jangling today when he takes to the Sixways stage.
The 33-year-old takes his place in the Worcester side, to tackle Bristol at Sixways in the National One clash, knowing that victory will catapult the Warriors into the Premiership.
For the prop who has lasted 10 years at Worcester, it will be an extra special moment.
"The nerves will be jangling - massively," he said. "It's such a big game for the club and I'm really looking forward to it but I know the butterflies will be there. The great thing is, though, that everyone at Worcester has been really looking forward to the game. Six thousand people at Sixways and we know that victory will get us into the Premiership - we can't wait!"
Lyman knows, though, that Bristol will arrive at Worcester with nothing to lose.
"There's no pressure on them and they'll come here to just enjoy the day and play their rugby," added the former Kidderminster Carolians man.
"They want to come to Sixways to spoil the party and we have to be on our guard.
"We will show them respect, I don't think there's any chance of our players underestimating them.
"What we've got though is real belief in the side now. We believe that we'll go out there and win. It's not arrogance, it's just the belief in the side.
"What we also know is that we have a number of options now. Our backs are phenomenal on their day but maybe if it's not happening for them, we know that we can drive the ball and really smash into teams.
"I'm delighted to have played my part in the season. It's nice to know that the oldies like me and Reg (Tony) Windo can still do it!
"What we want to do is make sure we perform. On an occasion like that, you don't want to crawl over the line. You want to do it in style and that's what we intend to do. We can then enjoy ourselves afterwards!"
