JOHN Barton has no fears about striker Adam Webster putting himself in the firing line at Nuneaton Borough on Saturday.
The Worcester City player missed a great chance in last week's FA Cup defeat but manager Barton believes Webster will be at the heart of the action as the two sides meet once again this time in the Dr Martens Premier Division.
"He won't be affected by that miss and people forget he had a great shot later in the match that was just inches wide," said Barton.
"Adam's confidence won't be affected, he will get in there at the sharp end because that's the type of player he is."
Undefeated Boro are lying second in the table, a place ahead of City, and Barton is preparing for another tight tussle -- but warns his players must find the target if they are to avoid a repeat of last week's defeat.
"I thought it was a winnable tie last week but it was proved that as well as we played we were not good enough to get a result and we need to improve," he added.
"Revenge is always the sweetest thing in football and that's the case here. Anyone who saw the game would say there was nothing between the sides and that's how it proved.
"It was tight but ultimately the fact they won the game indicates to us that we still have to improve."
"Goals are crucial for games, it changes the whole mentality," he added. "Against Bath City we put them away, and although it doesn't happen like that every week, it makes all the difference.
"As a team we have not been putting chances away often enough."
Despite its top of the table billing Barton said it was too early to read anything into the match as regards the title.
"We are in the second batch of 10 games and we will look at how we do in these but it's been a tough spell with the two Nuneaton matches and Weymouth to come as well," he said.
Defender Barry Woolley, who has recovered from two cracked ribs, could be drafted into the squad but Barton thinks it's unlikely he will play.
"He's got a good chance of being in the squad but I think he needs a bit more time," he said.
