WORCESTER City plan to raise funds with the help of more than 1,000 fund-raisers dressed as Father Christmas.
The St George's Lane club has teamed up with Leukaemia Care to organise a three-and-a-half mile run around the city centre.
Runners will be dressed in Santa Claus garb and club director Bob Marley estimates they could generate as much as £15,000 for the club with the same amount for the cancer charity.
The event will take place on Sunday, December 7 and Marley is appealing for people to back the event and make it a success by getting into the festive spirit.
"I took part in a similar event in Mid-Wales and it raised £60,000 for local charities," said Marley. "We want to get around 1,500 to take part, starting and finishing at St George's Lane."
Father Christmas outfits are provided as part of the entry. For more details and information call 0870-774-3667.
