WITH the death of Mr John Tipping, Inkberrow has lost one of its oldest and best known farmers and one who has taken a prominent part in the affairs of the parish.
The deceased gentleman, who was 77 years of age, died somewhat suddenly at his residence, The Stone House Farm, on Monday evening last week.
Mr Tipping was a staunch church man and served as vicar's warden from 1870-1877 and as people's warden from 1885 to the time of his death.
The funeral took place at Inkberrow on Friday amid many manifestations of respect and esteem.
