WORCESTER face a trip to Italy in the European Shield.
The Warriors, who were relegated into the shield following their European Challenge Cup exit at Brive on Saturday night, will travel to Rugby Rovigo next month for a two-legged affair. The Premiership side will jet out to northern Italy probably for a December 4 clash although the date could yet be placed on the third or the fifth of the month. The second leg, at Sixways, will be a week later.
"We've got a professional job to do," said Worcester's head coach Andy Keast. "Obviously we would have preferred to stay in the Challenge Cup because you have European qualification at the end of it. However, we are professional and we have 33 players registered to play in the competition."
Meanwhile, Worcester are confident that Ben Hinshelwood will be fit for Sunday's clash at London Irish.
The centre, who pulled out of the Warriors' Brive match with a back injury, is expected to have recovered in time for the Premiership relegation clash.
