I FEEL I must respond to George Cowley's criticism of me for being concerned about litter in Worcester.

I agree with him that there are more important things to worry about in the world.

But my point was simply that if we ignore the "little" things like litter and pride in our environment, then we are all effectively accepting the knock-on effects that can lead to much greater problems such as anti-social behaviour and criminality.

However, I find it somewhat ironic to be criticised by George Cowley, who seems to have made a career out of considering the minutiae of local life.
