A RECORD-BREAKING performance from safety-conscious employees at express delivery giant TNT in Hartlebury, near Kidderminster, has earned the company one of Britain's top health and safety honours for a third consecutive year.
TNT Express Services was awarded the British Safety Council's coveted five star accreditation after passing a rigorous audit which saw the company clock up its highest ever marks.
Its sites across the country reached unprecedented standards of health and safety with the Worcestershire depot scoring an impressive 97.32 per cent.
"I am absolutely delighted - this is well-deserved recognition for the high priority we give health and safety at this depot," said Adrian Avery, general manager of the Hartlebury depot.
"The British Safety Council audit is extremely demanding and, with continual advances in the field of health and safety, the best practice standards against which we are measured get higher every year.
"To have exceeded our previous best against this background makes our achievement even more extraordinary and is a fitting testament to our commitment to maintaining safe and secure working environments for all our employees."
