ONE University College Worcester graduate is already well on the way to the marketing job of her dreams after securing a place on a top training course.
Twenty-one-year-old Rhian Hawkings, who is graduating today, will walk straight from college into a place on Midland Auto Trader's Graduate Training Scheme.
The business management student, from Warndon Villages, in Worcester, won through the car magazine's nerve-wracking and tough selection process.
"The interview itself was extremely tough, but I was able to apply the business skills and knowledge gained in my course experience to good effect," said Ms Hawkings.
"I'm slightly nervous, but at the same time extremely excited about being given such a good career opportunity."
Ms Hawkings first applied through a national newspaper advert, then progressed through a telephone interview.
After that, she then had to complete daunting group, psychometric and knowledge tests, another interview and a presentation to the company's managing director and senior managers.
She will now spend two years with the company, which is owned by the Trader Media Group, learning every aspect of the publishing business - from printing and human resources to marketing, finance and sales.
The magazine is published across 13 different regions and Ms Hawkings will now be based at the company's Midlands head offices, in Birmingham.

Neil ready to put his career in firm focus
PHOTOGRAPHIC skills were literally pushed to the limit when one UCW student trained his lens on the world of 'free running'.
Neil Gibbons, a creative digital media graduate, hit new heights as he snapped daredevil acrobats vaulting and somersaulting across rooftops and walls.
To capture the full range of high-flying antics in his coursework, he used the latest computer technology in which several single frame images are combined within just one picture.
The results - shots in various locations across London - capture performers and athletes in full flight, giving a stunning insight into the world of 'free running'.
"It was fantastic to see the professionalism of these sportsmen, they were taking risks, but at the same time planned everything so methodically," he said.
"The free running world is all about uninhibited movement, so hopefully my work has gone some way to capturing its essence."
However, after today's graduation ceremony, he is now planning to turn his talents to the wider world of sport. The 27-year-old has already adapted the same photographic technique to be used as a training aid in events like high jump and triple jump.
"Using TV and video can be costly and time consuming, but in this way coaches can have the picture with them to show the full flow of the whole event in just one image," he explained.
