OLDER people in Worcestershire are being encouraged to get knitting and enter a competition that could see them winning a summer holiday for two.
The competition is being run by Age Concern Hereford & Worcester and involves knitting a renowned winter character, such as Father Christmas.
The first prize is an electric scooter worth £1,000 and the second prize is a Shearings five-day break for two from its summer 2005 brochure.
Runners up will receive Winter Home Energy Packs, worth £45, and everyone who enters the competition will receive £15 Shearings vouchers.
For more information about the competition, which is part of the charity's Winter Warmth Week running all this week until Friday, call 01905 726652.
