A MAN was hurt after being shot with a pellet gun from a moving car.
He was hit as he walked along Evesham Road at about 11.30pm on Monday.
The pellet gun was pointed out of an old-shaped silver Renault Clio, which had three people inside.
The car was then driven towards Morton Stanley Park.
A police spokesman said: "This would have been a very frightening incident, particularly as it was dark and all the victim would have known is he was being shot at.
"These weapons can cause serious injury. It is not a game and we treat these incidents very seriously."
"In some incidents armed officers will be sent because it may not be known if the weapon is a BB gun or not."
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to call them on 08457 444888.
