GOLF: BATCHLEY pub golfers have returned victorious from their National Championship expedition in Vilamoura, Portugal.
The team, made up of brothers Craig and Nigel Blackford, Aaron Blacker and Steve Fellows, took the Bass Ale Golfing Pub of the year title on September 19.
The regulars at The Brockhill Pub, on Willow Way, battled through an area heat at Sandwell Park before storming through the Midlands regional final to get to Vilamoura.
The first round of the two-day final took place at Pinhal before the tournament moved on to the prestigious Old Course - double host of the Portuguese and the Redditch boys didn't disappoint notching up 281 points in the two rounds.
