BREAST Care Nurses at the Alexandra Hospital looking at ways to promote Breast Awareness Month held a fashion show with a difference recently.
All the models, aged between 30 and 60, were patients who had been treated for breast cancer.
Specialist breast care nurse Julie Weston said: "The fashion show was to raise money for the Primrose Hospice, as well as Breast Cancer Care.
"The aim of the evening was to provide a 'feel good' event for local women who have undergone treatment and their friends and families who have supported them.
"It also provided us with an opportunity to raise the profile of the service and the hospice."
Colleague Mandy Batten said: "The event was mainly sponsored by Debenhams but there were also displays by Amoena, Thamert and Trulife, which are companies that make prosthetics and who kindly made a donation towards the organising of the evening.
"Local firm WillsWigs will also had a stand."
