THE Shadow Secretary of State for the Family, Theresa May, visited a Redditch nursery last week to look at how popular the facility is.
Tory parliamentary spokesman for Redditch Karen Lumley took Mrs May around Windmill Nursery to discuss the need for the new proposed nursery on the Vaynor First School site.
Mrs Lumley said: "The new nursery would be a private/public sector partnership and as a governor of Vaynor, I am very keen on it getting the go-ahead.
"Theresa May and county councillor Phillip Gretton were extremely impressed by Windmill Nursery and saw how popular it was. There is definitely a need for another nursery in the area as this one is already at full capacity."
Before plans for the new facility can be moved forward, a number of parking issues need to be addressed.
