Droitwich Spa 2
Tolladine Sports 1
Worcestershire Junior Cup Round Two
DROITWICH stretched their unbeaten run to 11 games as they progressed to the quarter finals.
Although they controlled the first half they struggled to convert their possession into goals. But they eventually broke the deadlock on the half-hour when wingback Darren Charles supplied the pass for Greg Cooper to slide the ball under the advancing goalkeeper.
Tolladine came out stronger in the second half and levelled following good build up play and a sweet finish.
However, as tension rose Spa found the decisive goal with 15 minutes to go when Darren Charles scored his first goal in three seasons at Droitwich with a curling shot from the edge of the box.
Spa: West, Charles, Harris, Sanders, McGrillen, Holland, Robinson, Morton, Crawford, Cooper, McGuire.
