THE society held its AGM and social evening with a good attendance. The business was briskly handled with a report on the past year and financial report. The committee members were re-elected en-bloc for another year's service.

The guest speaker was Stan Lampard, whose talk with slides on Borneo, a Tropical Paradise, was riveting. The diversity of vegetation, from coastal lowlands to soaring high peaks was captured brilliantly on camera and Stan was an excellent and authoritative guide.

The entertainment continued with the serving of a splendid buffet with wine and the drawing of the raffle.
