MORE worry was expressed this week about the concentration of mobile phone masts going up in Redditch.
A resident of Birchfield Road contacted the Advertiser to express her deep concerns about the profusion of masts near her home in Webheath.
Kath Wildblood was worried to find a fourth could be installed by Vodafone near Reynard Close.
Mrs Wildblood said: "They're all in a line in the same place, about 80ft apart.
"I can't understand why the council are allowed to do this.
"The council issued letters dated October 5 giving 21 days in which to object in writing to this latest proposal, which I did.
"That date was up by October 26 but there were men out at the site on that morning measuring up, so it looks like it was already decided."
Mrs Wildblood: "I rang the planning department to ask about this and they were supposed to ring me back but they never did."
But a spokesman for Redditch Council said no decision had been made on the mast.
In fact, the council had asked for more details from Vodafone because it was worried about the accuracy of that application, she said.
Meanwhile, the spokesman said no decision will be made on the mast referred to in last week's Advertiser in Church Hill until November 24.
The council warned last week the weight given to objections on purely health grounds is significantly reduced if equipment complies with public exposure guidelines set by the International Commission on Non-Ionising Radiation Protection.
