STAFF members and friends of a Redditch hair and beauty salon took part in some hair-raising tasks to raise money for the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.
Legends Hair and Beauty, Crabbs Cross, got clients to sponsor Paul Maynard to have his chest waxed and Ashleigh Williams to have his legs waxed.
A spokesman said: "They didn't realise the Advertiser was going to photograph them being waxed, or that they'd have to do it in the middle of the salon!
"Unfortunately, Paul did find it particularly painful and screamed a bit.
"We told two other male staff members that us women have to wear bras for 365 days a year so they could do it for one and they agreed to do it for the sake of this good cause."
The salon also sold pink ribbons and picture frames and a total of £500 was raised through sales and sponsorship.
