RESIDENTS at a Kidderminster care home have seen employees in a whole new light with a saucy calendar of staff "au naturelle".
Chefs, housekeepers and carers are among the workers at Hollyfields Specialist Care Home in Habberley Road, Kidderminster who have bared nearly all to raise cash.
The project was in the spirit of the WI group whose clothes-less members were immortalised in movie Calendar Girls, said activities co-ordinator, Jenny Layland.
Proceeds will go towards day trips and entertainment for residents.
Mrs Layland, 53, said: "Calendar Girls was the inspiration. The idea was sparked off from an evening out with the girls. I put the idea to them and they were more than happy to do it."
Any nervousness from the girls, aged between 21 and 61, soon disappeared once they got into the photographer's studio, she said.
"There was a little bit of hesitation at first but we had a fantastic photographer. He was fantastic. He made us feel very much at ease, we all felt very comfortable.
"The male staff just think that we are stars for doing it. It has definitely taken some guts to do it. All our partners think we are brilliant."
The calendar is on sale now and Mrs Layland said the shots had surprised even the glamorous girls themselves.
"We didn't recognise ourselves, to be perfectly honest," she said. For a copy, call Mrs Layland on 01562 514810.
