REMEMBRANCE DAY: David Graham, the village's contact with the Royal British Legion, who oversees the sale of poppies every year, has reminded everyone that poppies are now on sale in the shops, public houses and St James' Church. Some areas are being covered by house-to-house sales, not all parts of the village can hope to have poppy sellers coming to their doors. The Remembrance Service will be held on Sunday, November 14 at 9.30am in St James' Church as part of the weekly Communion Service, but there will also be an Act of Remembrance during the Evening Service that same day.
