WEDNESDAY CLUB: At the first of the October meetings members welcomed Rosemary Morris to talk on England Naturally and to show her slides of wild life and flowers to be found locally and across the country. Her prints and cards of her pictures were displayed and in great demand.
Last week the speaker was Michael Brettell, who introduced members to The History of Mystery. As well as relating the history of magicians, magic and the magic circle, he performed a few tricks, with the help of the audience.
In November members have been invited to contribute their own stories - Winter Celebrations from around the World - relating interesting times spent either at home or abroad.
New members are welcome at the village hall on alternate Wednesdays at 2.45pm.
SNOOKER: The annual meeting of the Snooker Club will be held in the village hall snooker room on Monday, November 15 at 7.30pm.
SENIOR CITIZENS' PARTY: The WI is inviting senior citizens to the Christmas party to be held in the village hall on Saturday, December 4 at 12.30pm. All those wishing to attend are invited to hand in their details to the Willersey Post Office by November 30.
MOBILE POLICE STATION: The next visit of the Mobile Police Station will be on Tuesday between 3.15pm and 4.15pm. For all calls other than emergency 999 telephone 0845 090 1234.
MOBILE LIBRARY: The November dates for visits are Tuesday, 9 and 23, calling at Collin Close 2.40pm and the Bell Inn at 3.05pm.
COFFEE MORNING: The coffee morning held at the village hall in aid of the Royal Air Forces Association Wings Day Appeal raised £300.
CHRISTMAS BAZAAR: The annual bazaar in aid of St Peter's Church will be held on Saturday, November 20 at 2.30pm in the village hall. Gifts for the usual stalls will be gratefully received and a door-to-door collection will be made from 9.30am on the morning of the bazaar.
NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH: Residents are reminded that the Watch Scheme in the village still operates and a list of co-ordinator contacts appears in the Church and Village News. There is a co-ordinator in every part of the village.
HARVEST SUPPER: The harvest supper and entertainment was again well-attended and as a result £269 was raised for the Campden Home Nursing.
MUNCH BUNCH LUNCH: The November lunch will be held at the Methodist Church Room on Wednesday, November 17. Inquiries regarding attendance or transport to Elizabeth Ingles (01386 853400).
