CLEOBURY Mortimer moved up to third in North Midlands South One with a convincing 23-0 win over Birmingham Exiles.
The victory was dedicated to the memory of two of the club's vice presidents, Sue Smith and Trevor Cole, who died recently.
Following a minute's silence, the players got stuck into their task and maintained their determination throughout.
The early pressure told and it was not long before No 8 Paul Hulland bulldozed his way over the line to open the scoring from a scrum.
Julian Harding kicked the conversion to open up a 7-0 lead and three successful penalties from the Cleobury fly half made it 16-0 at the break.
They did take their foot of the pedal in the second half and assisted by the slope and the wind the visitors did come back strongly.
But Birmingham's strange decision-making meant they were unable to get any points on the scoreboard and it was Cleobury who extended their advantage.
After re-asserting their authority, the hosts began to threaten and it was vice captain Paul Harding who spotted a gap to slide in near the post with Julian Harding adding the extras to make it 23-0.
The second did not have a game because Exiles were unable to raise a team.
