WYRE Forest anglers fared well in the Moorlands Farm Junior Opens last week.

The Tuesday match, fished on the Island, was won by Dean Puplett, who competes for Stourport-based Mark's Tackle, with a catch of 38lb 12oz, and Jason Pyatt, also of Stourport, came second with 19-8.

Puplett also won the Friday Junior Open, when he caught 56-7 of fish, and in third place was Luke Webb, of Kidderminster, with 25-7.

The Mark's angler also came second in the Sunday Junior Open, to Kieron Trossell, of Stourport, while Ryan Cole of Kidderminster tied for third place with a Worcester angler.
