CHRISTMAS is drawing near and while many of us may dread the challenges of present shopping, most of us relish the fact that the party season is upon us once again.
And, instead of dusting off your old party frocks from last year, why not treat yourself to something new to get you into the Christmas spirit?
With a huge selection of glamorous dresses hitting the High Street you could find yourself spoilt for choice.
And, as the present list grows but the pennies diminish, you don't necessarily have to spend a fortune on your new frock.
Tesco, which has stores in St Peter's, Warndon, Evesham, Stourport-on-Severn, Kidderminster and Redditch, has just introduced its new bargain Florence + Fred collection.
Despite the range's cheap price tags, it boasts glamour and style - even being modelled and promoted by Sex and the City star Kirstin Davis, who plays Charlotte in the hit Channel 4 show.
Pictured here is the white corset dress, at just £45. It would be ideal for any party, from hitting the dance floor to going out for a sophisticated meal.
Other dresses in the range include a strapless bustier dress (£35), featuring black vintage lace over gold fabric, a red halter neck dress (£20) and a delicate gold dress with fine straps and lace detailing and a sparkling gold ribbon across the waist (£35).
According to Kirstin, who modelled the collection: "The collection is wonderful to wear as it gives a complete designer look.
"The choice of outfits and accessories are amazing without the designer label price tag."
Those wanting to spend a little extra could fall in love with a aubergine dress (pictured) that would be ideal for a ball and costs £69.99 from River Island, which has a store in Worcester's High Street.
For a similar price you could pick up a red prom dress with corsage for £70 from the Debut range at Debenhams, in Worcester's High Street, (pictured), and make the outfit complete with a white faux fur wrap at £15.
And for those wanting a Christmas splurge, to hell with the budget, Monsoon, again in the city's High Street, has released its Autumn Rose eveningwear collection, which boasts a range of glamorous dresses inspired by the fashions of the 1920s and 1950s. (Pictured here, a black sparkle sequin dress that costs £180.)
