ARCHERS of Teme's annual club competition at Easton Court, Little Hereford was a big success, with a good turn-out of members taking part.
Medals were presented by the 'Lady Paramount', Rose James, with silver salvers awarded to the winners of the Ladies' Recurve, Gentemen's Recurve and Junior Girls' Recurve sections.
The Brigadier Cardiff Cup was presented to Katie Beddows as the winner of the handicap club shoot.
Ladies' Recurve: Gold medal Katie Beddows (Ludlow) 536; silver medal Steph Beddows (Ludlow) 485. Junior girls: Gold medal Hebe Richardson (Leominster) 217. Gentlemen's Recurve: Gold medal Mark Dunn (Ludlow) 504; silver medal Bill Eden (Tenbury Wells) 484; bronze medal Mike Head (Ludlow) 460. Junior boys: Gold medal Tom Shaw (Clee Hill) 384. Longbow: Gold medal Mark North (Richard's Castle) 242; silver medal Rosemary Richards (Clee Hill) 171.
Members enjoyed refreshments and a social get-together after the shoot.
The club has now finished outdoor shooting for this year. Indoor shooting starts on Sunday, November 7 at Moor Park School, Ludlow (2pm to 5pm).
The first British Archer Winter League shoot will be in November 21, sighters at 2.15pm. The club will be entering two teams in the league this winter. The BA shoots will usually be shot on the third Sunday of each month.
The club's AGM is on Tuesday, November 30 at 8pm at the St John Ambulance headquarters, Smithfield, Ludlow, followed by a social get-together.
