GET ready to be blown away by one of the Faithful City's most spectacular displays of booming bangers and fizzing fireworks.
The Worcester and Malvern Round Tables' annual bonfire celebration on Pitchcroft Racecourse will be a cracking show tomorrow evening, when the 20ft bonfire is set alight in front of thousands of spectators.
A professional firework company will let off £5,000 worth of rockets and kaleidoscopic pyrotechnics - all into what weathermen say should be a crisp, clear night.
And every penny of profit raised on the gates is redistributed among worthy causes in Worcester and Malvern. In the Faithful City, this will be through the Round Tables' Make a Difference Campaign, which is supported by the Evening News.
The vice-chairman of the Worcester Round Table, Steve Appleton, said the event took a lot of organising, but it was worth it.
"It's is going to be a great evening this year.
"This is just one of the areas where the Round Table generates income to donate to charity.
"It is definitely worthwhile, but people don't realise how much hard work is needed to make it happen."
Gates open between 6.15pm and 6.30pm, and the bonfire will be lit by Worcester Mayor Allah Ditta and his helpers Phillippa Jones, aged seven, from Malvern, and Ryan Morris, aged eight, from St Peter's, Worcester - joint winners of the Evening News competition to light the bonfire.
The display, which promises to be spectacular, will start at 8pm.
Tickets cost £3 for adults, £2 for children, or £10 for a family of two adults and two children.
