n A FORMER Hanley Castle High School pupil has been presented with his green beret by the Royal Marines. Chris Williams, 21, had to complete an aerial assault course, nine-mile speed march, endurance course and a 30-mile trek across Dartmoor to obtain the prestigious beret. He completed his training at the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre in Lympstone, Devon.
n EARL'S Croome WI will hold its AGM on Tuesday (November 9), at 7.30pm. The group will discuss past events and what is planned for the future. The meeting takes place at Earl's Croome Village Hall.
n Blood doner sessions will take place at the Hill Centre from 1pm to 3.15pm and 4.30pm to 7.15pm on Monday (November 8).
n CROOME Park will host two free guided walks tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday. The walks start at 2pm from the visitor reception.
