I have often wondered about the grandmother I never knew. She was called Melita Pratt (nee Yates) and she lived in Upper Welland between the

two world wars.

My mother told me she was a keen amateur photographer and she was a kind person who was popular locally.

However, whenever I try to find anything out about her I seem to come up against a wall of silence. No one remembers her and records which should hold some details about her are blank.

Does anyone among your readership remember anything about my mysterious granny. If you do I would be keen to hear.
