THE English Symphony Orchestra will perform a special concert on Thursday, November 11, in memory of all those who have lost their lives in conflict.
The concert, at Malvern Theatres, will raise money for the British Red Cross Beslan Crisis Appeal, set up to help families affected by the tragedy in September.
It will feature prestigious soloists Jeni Bern, Alexandra Sherman, Robert Johnston, Jeremy White and the Saint Michael Singers from Coventry Cathedral.
The programme will include Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus and Requiem K626, Tippett's Five Negro Spirituals and Faure's Cantique de Jean Racine.
A pre-concert talk on Mozart's Requiem by horn player Michael Revell is at 6.45pm.
At the beginning of the concert, Annie Bibbings, from the Hereford and Worcester branch of the Red Cross, will give a short talk on the Beslan Appeal.
ESO artistic director William Boughton said the concert was "an occasion for giving thanks and remembering those who died serving their country".
Tickets cost from £8 to £25 and can be booked on 01684 892277.
