THE letter from Phil Hinton contained one phrase with which I agree, that is "to take advice from the people there on the ground floor".
But where I differ is on what or where is the ground floor.
In my view, the decision to move Christopher Whitehead school and replace it with a supermarket is the business of everyone in St John's and St Clements... indeed all of what is known as The West Bank of Worcester.
The school, business, and residents - that is the ground floor.
To just consider the school in isolation is to take a very blinkered view and could never lead to a satisfactory conclusion.
Those who support the moving of the school should also remember that a school's reputation is rarely made by the buildings.
It is the reputation gained by the excellence of its teaching staff, and the reputation of its students topped up by the quality of their results.
