For a number of weeks past, there have been numerous and persistent rumours in circulation that there is a scarcity of water in Malvern and that the boring scheme at the Link is a failure. The ratepayers will be pleased to hear that there is no foundation whatever for the report. True, the ratepayers have been asked to exercise economy in the use of water in face of the continued dry season, but so far as the borehole is concerned, there is a copious output. The yield is close on a million gallons a week. Malvern Gazette, November 4, 1904.

It was resolved that when children were born in Ledbury Workhouse, the address should be given as Homend Lane. Ledbury Free Press, November 8, 1904.

He said that with police notices prohibiting vehicles from stopping in the street, and the Market Square filled up with buses and heavy lorries, people coming to shop had nowhere to park. News of the possible inclusion of the Worcester-Malvern-Ledbury-Hereford railway line in plans by British Rail to close 900 miles of railway and 41 passenger services emerged yesterday. The plan follows the Government's decision to withdraw £22 million worth of passenger subsidies. It has been alleged that secret talks have been held over the past two months discussing closures. Malvern Gazette, November 8, 1979.
Thousands streamed along The Southend on Monday night in the pouring rain to make Ledbury Round Table's annual bonfire and firework display another success. Waiting in the dark and wet was a dismal affair. But once the enormous fire was lit, faces brightened. Ledbury Reporter, November 8, 1979.
