A MORGAN car that raced at Le Mans in France this year is up for sale on the internet auction site eBay.
The Morgan Aero 8 GTN has nearly 500 bhp and certainly can't be described as "never raced or rallied" - it also starred in events in Belgium and the USA.
The car is being sold by the Morgan Motor Company, Malvern, on Monday, November 15.
Previous drivers of the classic racer include former Grand Prix star Jacques Lafitte. The car is unique, ready to race and comes complete with many spares.
The car's performance is described as "mind-blowing" and the Morgan team is even offering a two-day handover and familiarisation package to the successful bidder.
"Anyone who loves cars is fascinated by the Morgan mystique, and we expect considerable international interest in what could be one of the most valuable cars ever to be sold through ebaymotors.co.uk," said Claire Gilmartin, head of eBay Motors in the UK.
MD talks to Technology Tree
CHARLES Morgan, managing director of Morgan, addressed more than businessmen and women and teachers at this year's Technology Tree conference.
The TT programme brings together West Midlands companies and primary schools in partnerships to gain an insight into technology.
Young people are given the chance to enhance their understanding of engineering, manufacturing and technology in everyday environments, through visits and study of local industry.
"I am very pleased to be supporting the programme, and encouraging children to take up a career in the exciting world of engineering," said Mr Morgan at the event, held at The Abbey Hotel in Malvern.
