WORCESTERSHIRE'S Nathan Freke, fresh from his European Superkart success, will take part in the largest Formula Ford 1600 meeting this weekend at Silverstone.
Freke will be competing in the Century Motorsport Jamun M89 car in the colours of Newnet, an internet service provider who are sponsoring the car in 2005.
The field will number over 90 cars and Freke, from Kidderminster, will be hoping to emulate his eighth place in 2003.
This will be the Kidderminster driver's first race in the car since the Walter Hayes meeting last year. He has had a shakedown session at Mallory Park, and also tested at Silverstone this Friday.
Qualifying and the first heat takes place today with racing resuming tomorrow at around 11.15am.
n Justin Wilson is aiming to end his Champ Car season on a high this weekend in Mexico City as he looks for a drive in 2005.
The ex-F1 driver needs a solid display in the last race of the season to earn a return in 2005.
