EVESHAM United's poor home form continued when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Corby Town in Southern League Division One West.
Not for the first time this season, the Robins failed to deliver in front of their own supporters and at times looked miles from being top of the table.
A blustery wind did not help, but a more direct approach was needed, especially in the first-half when the elements were in their favour.
It was not pretty to watch but in the final minute of the first-half, Evesham did make the breakthrough. Richard Ball worked hard to gain possession on the left and he created the opening for Steve Duncan to beat Richard Lavin with a curling shot from the edge of the box.
Corby drew level eight minutes into the second-half with their first shot at goal, Brian Hardie netting with a well struck 20-yard free-kick.
The game then deteriorated as quickly as the weather. Marc Burrow did pull a shot across the face of the Steelmen's goal with nobody on hand and Corby's Zac Nedimovic later blasted over.
