LEDBURY Town started the new year in style with a 6-1 victory at West Midlands Premier basement boys Coseley.
Ledbury, returning to league action after a three-week break, started brightly and opened the scoring after six minutes when Robbie Colwell crossed for Lee Hooper to drill home from eight yards.
Coseley hit the cross bar two minutes later and then levelled on 17 minutes when Dave McKenzie slotted home from six yards.
Ledbury then upped the tempo and regained the lead, Matt Grays' perfect cross finding Lee Hooper who rose majestically to head home.
The visitors extended their lead on 36 minutes when Colwell rifled the ball in from 10 yards to make it 3-1 at the break.
Ledbury remained on top in the second-half and they moved 4-1 clear 11 minutes in. A flighted ball into the box was flicked on by Gareth Davis and volleyed home from 15 yards by Steve Olczak.
Three minutes later Davis made it five after twisting and turning the home defence.
Ledbury then made three changes and gave Tom Smith his debut in goal.
The rout was completed just past the hour, Lee Hooper wrong footing the home defence when back heeling the ball into the path of Colwell who smashed the ball home.
Bewdley Town started the new year with a defeat, going down 2-1 at home to Hinton in Division One. Elsewhere, Malvern Town Reserves lost 4-2 at Blackheath Town and Tenbury United drew 2-2 with Brereton Social.
