THE scene is set for an epic encounter on the banks of the Trent tomorrow (Saturday) as Malvern RFC visit the Midlands Two (West) leaders Burton for the first of two league games within a month.
Malvern director of rugby David Robins was pleased with his side's 37-5 win in last Saturday's match against Old Laurentians, sponsored by Malvernian Tours.
He voted the first half show as one of the best displays of rugby in his 10 years at the club.
Robins said: "The game was a 'must win' for us and the lads responded magnificently. The coaches have done a tremendous job and we go to Burton in upbeat mood for the biggest test of the season to date.
"Our back row was fearsome, the three lads were everywhere and Edgy Uzoigwe wins the man of the match having been involved in four of the five tries.
"We now go to Burton with one aim in mind, to win and go top of the table."
