DETERMINED Stuart Watkiss has promised big changes as he searches for the winning formula to lift Kidderminster Harriers away from the relegation zone.
Watkiss was stunned to see yet another poor home result yesterday when the lacklustre Coca-Cola League Two outfit succumbed 3-1 against fourth-placed Southend United.
The Harriers boss, who has won two and lost five of his first seven games in charge, has finally lost patience with his under-achieving stars.
And the line-up that faces Lincoln City at Aggborough on Saturday should be drastically altered with three or four new signings checking in after the board handed Watkiss a fresh cash kitty.
But the exit door awaits several current Harriers players .
Watkiss fumed: "We have to get better players in. We all like to think we're great coaches and can work wonders but the truth of the matter is the quality in the squad here is not good enough.
"I've told the players what is going to be happening over the coming weeks. Exactly what was said will stop in the dressing room but they say actions speak louder than words so there could be a few comings and goings in the near future.
"I've got a bit of money to bring three or four players in. That in itself will up the quality and then if other players on top of that leave it will free more money up to bring in others.
"It's not going to happen overnight but we have 20 games left and it's got to be done really quickly. By hook or by crook, we have got to get some points on the board.
"We have to be much stron-ger physically and mentally and more ruthless in both penalty areas as well as working on the tactical side."
Harriers' players are in for training today and tomorrow on their scheduled days off, but Watkiss has a major task ahead after revealing his despair at a lack of desire on the pitch.
He added: "I find it difficult to take when I clearly see players not showing that."
