CENTRAL Lincoln had a university dropped on it under a decade ago.
Since its arrival, most things in the city have been geared towards boozing young students.
The powers-that-be in Lincoln, council, police and university top brass have been overwhelmed by the numbers.
Consequently, the city centre is invaded by young drinkers in the evening, and everyone else is unwelcome.
Far from being on top of the situation, the authorities haven't even managed to stop the tipplers urinating in the street yet.
And the bawling and screaming in nearby terraced streets between midnight and three in the morning has to be heard to be believed.
How do other university cities cope with this monstrous behaviour? Have they got a thing or two to teach the authorities in Lincoln?
