WORCESTERSHIRE-based groove-rock band The Fever are rehearsing for their latest tour of Midlands' venues.
The band consists of Neil Ivison on vocals and guitar, George Elliott on bass and vocals, Adam Barry on organ and piano and Lee on drums.
They have been locked away in the studio writing and recording new material for a possible album release later in the year.
"Since the last tour we've been in the studio pretty much 24/7 and have been working on a load of new stuff," says Neil
"This tour will be mostly hometown gigs so we can preview the new tracks live in front of our loyal fan base.
"We are really looking forward to it - it beats being cooped up in the studio."
Neil is the band's main songwriter, but the other members help write as well.
The Fever, which formed late 2002, was a big hit with Scottish audiences when they supported The Proclaimers at the end of December last year.
As well as playing mainly local gigs throughout August, they will be returning to Scotland once again at the end of September due to their growing popularity north of the border.
Catch The Fever tonight at Hereford's Old Harp.
They will also be playing at Malvern Con Club on Friday, August 20, Ross-on-Wye International Festival on Sunday, August 22, Kidderminster Tap House on Thursday, August 26, Hereford Barrells Beer Festival on Friday, August 27, and Worcester Party In The Park at Bar Bamboo, Worcester on Monday, August 30.
