KIDDERMINSTER'S former Lincoln defender Simon Weaver believes the Aggborough crowd can inspire Harriers to success against his former club and can lift Harriers to safety.

Weaver rejects talk that Kidderminster cannot cope with the pressure of playing at home after defeats to Swansea and Southend and admits he has been impressed with the fans.

"The crowd have been fantastic since I've been here and have got right behind us," he said. "I went on loan to Macclesfield and the Kidderminster fans are a lot more vocal than the Macclesfield ones.

"Supporters make a difference because when you make a challenge you can hear the crowd respond to that and it gets you fired up to make the next one.

"If they carry on supporting us I fully believe we can get out of this situation."

The 27-year-old centre half, who is commuting from his home in Sheffield, has passed on some inside information about the Red Imps.

"I know Lincoln as well as anybody because I played 100 games for them and enjoyed my time there.

"It's a bit unfair what is said about them because although they are physical and stick very closely to a system they're not just a bish bosh team.

"They've got talented players, who as well as being strong and athletic are sharp and alert, so it's a big test for us."

Weaver is also looking forward to teaming up again with Wayne Hatswell who returns to the line-up after a four-match ban.

" He's a strong leader and it will be good to try and form a partnership with him."

Long term casualty Iyseden Christie has pencilled in the trip to Cambridge on January 29 for his comeback.
