A COUPLE from Cleeve Prior were caught up in a nightmare on Tuesday when bailiffs posted notices through their front door and clamped their car.
For sometime Sue and Gary Jones had been receiving wrongly addressed letters but put them back into the postbox marked 'not known.' Bailiffs arrived on Tuesday when the couple were out and disabled the family car.
Now the couple are planning to claim compensation from the firm, CCS Enforcement Services Ltd of Stoke Prior in Bromsgrove for distress and inconvenience.
Mrs Jones said: "I was distraught when I saw the car clamped and a notice stuck on it. It was also very embarrassing because we have nothing to do with the bailiffs.
Mr Jones said: "My wife had to beg a lift to school and I had to asked my 74 year old father to fetch me from work before the company released the car the next day." No-one at the company was prepared to comment before the Journal went to press. See page 16.
