A celebrity Vale hairdresser denied an attack on a neighbour when he appeared before a judge at Worcester Crown Court this week.

Daniel Galvin, aged 35, whose clients include Camilla Parker-Bowles and Tom Cruise, pleaded not guilty to assaulting James Hicken on August 29 and causing him actual bodily harm.

He also denied assaulting two police officers, obstructing police and criminal damage to a police radio earpiece.

Judge Michael Mott bailed Galvin, of Pensham Fields House, Pensham, near Pershore, and adjourned the case for trial by jury.

The five-day trial is likely to be heard in June. There are 11 prosecution witnesses.

Galvin's other clients include Nicole Kidman and Madonna. His father, also a hairdresser, was the man behind Princess Di's blonde streaks.
