AN inquest into the death of a Kidderminster woman has been opened and adjourned.

Julia Hughes was found dead at her home at Belvedere Close, on the morning of December 16, by her husband, Trevor.

Mr Hughes said she had spent most of the night coughing after being treated at home by a GP on December 15 for a chest infection.

Mrs Hughes, 49, who had alcohol problems, alcohol induced epilepsy and had also taken overdoses in the past, had also spent a night in hospital on December 3 after she had collapsed.

Adjourning the inquest in Stourport, Coroner Victor Round said he had ordered blood samples to be sent off for analysis.
