INKBERROW moved off the bottom of division one, recording their first league win of the season with a surprise victory over title hopefuls Bear FC.

Inkberrow took the lead through Algar and held on to the interval. Further strikes from Algar and Parker secured the points with the Bear replying with an own goal.

Badsey Rec gained much needed points with an emphatic win at Defford/Besford Utd. Dave Stanbra hit four, and also on the scoresheet was 50-year-old Steve Bradley.

Wickhamford won a division three encounter at Crowle with goals from Houghton and Hercombe, and a Hughes treble gave Eckington victory over Bell Utd in division four.

The second round of the Tewkesbury Sports Knockout Cup was completed with Ambassador comfortably beating Moreton Town with goals from Danny James (4) and Billy Hiden (2).

Several third round matches took place with holders Red Horse reaching the last eight with victory at Hampton WMC, the goals coming from Sullivan, Troughton and Harris.

A second-half strike from Gilbert saw Moreton Wanderers edge past Mickleton Rangers and Bretforton Old Boys beat Bredon with goals from Malins and Mitchell. Franklin scored for the visitors.
