STUDENTS in Worcester have used an art and poetry competition to raise awareness of mental health problems.
The University College Worcester's Mind and Art competition was launched to highlight issues surrounding mental health.
The poetry winner was Stuart Bryan with his entry entitled This and That and Catherine Laidlaw won the postcard art category with her drawing work called Young and Stressed.
The winning members of staff were Lissa O'Grady for her postcard The Mature Student and Chantal Patton who was successful with a piece entitled Walk Through a Mind Field.
Principle professor David Green said the range of work showcased at the campus in Henwick Grove, St John's, highlighted an issue that tended to be overlooked.
"It was a chance for students, staff and guests to use their creative talents to remind people that mental illness does exist and can touch the lives of so many people," he said.
