THIS week, the village shop has been a hive of activity with the new management, Craig Bradbury and Katie Cocks, rearranging and re-stocking in preparation for the re-opening on Monday, January 10. They hope you will come and see for yourself, that all you need will now be available on your doorstep. No parking problems and a warm welcome from the staff. The facilities afforded by the village shop and Post Office have been sorely missed by many people, especially those who rely on public transport and we have an opportunity now to ensure that Bosbury retains a popular village shop and Post Office. Kate looks forward to welcoming you at the shop next week.
On Thursday, January 13 the parish council have organised an open meeting for all parishioners to discuss the Bosbury Parish Plan. Refreshments will be provided and the meeting starts at 7.30pm in the parish hall. For more information, please telephone David West, chairman of the parish council, on (01531) 640271.
Bosbury bell-ringers have been an essential part of village life for many years. Bosbury tower captain Frank Seabright would like to hear from people aged ten years and upwards who would be interested in learning to ring the bells. If you would like to have a look to find out exactly what they do, please go along to Bosbury tower any Wednesday evening between 7.30-9pm or ring Frank Seabright on (01531) 640252. He would also be pleased to hear from ringers who have learnt previously but have not rung for a while, several people have returned after a gap and, like riding a bike, you won't have forgotten! The ringers look forward to your visit to Bosbury tower.
