THE Taste of Christmas Advent carol concert held on November 27 in St James' Church raised £500. This has been sent to Jessie's Fund, the charity which helps sick and disabled children through music.
Colwall Darby and Joan Club has found a new leader, Adele McGrath, who is going to be assisted by Bob Thickbroom. The next meeting will be held on Monday, January 20 at 2pm at Chevenham.
A Burns' Night celebration will be held in the village hall on Friday, January 21, at 7pm for 7.30pm, at which there will be Scottish dancing. Tickets are £15, in aid of the Save the Children fund, available from Dorothea Marsh on 541043.
Malthouse Passage, with caller Sheila Mainwearing, will be playing at a ceilidh to be held on Saturday, January 29 at 7.30pm at Colwall Village Hall. Tickets are £10/£5 available from Adrian Mealing on (01684) 540366.
An Epiphany parish communion will be held at St James', Colwall at 10.15am on Sunday, January 9. This will be followed by an Epiphany celebration organised by the Seekers leaders. If you need more details please contact Rosie Joules on 540895.
