Lost and Found is the name of a new exhibition featuring Malvern textile artist Valerie Gilmer.

Valerie's work is inspired by decorative barge boards which adorn the gables of many Victorian villas in Malvern.

She uses white cotton and linen damask from antique tablecloths and dressmaking fabrics, no longer in use, to produce her all-white creations. The patterns are inspired by 18th Century stoneware dinner plates and Victorian Gothic architecture.

Her work is on show along with that of ceramic artist Nathalie Kamm and painter Fiona Curran at the Mac Centre, Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham.

The show runs from tomorrow (Saturday) until February 27. It is open Sunday-Friday, noon to 7pm, and Saturday, from noon to 6pm. Admission free.
