members of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra will be visiting the Downs School, Colwall, on Wednesday (January 12).
The players, all members of the CBSO offshoot Little Big Time Band, will be holding a workshop for young musicians at the school.
The visit comes in advance of a concert that the Little Big Time Band is performing at the school on Saturday, January 29, at 7.30pm.
The six-piece band presents a huge repertoire of orchestral favourites, delivered with humour and showmanship.
The concert is free, but there will be a collection for the school's music technology programme.
